The Brief

A decorative yet sleek bathroom wall light was required for a luxury apartment. The IP rated design had to be minimal in nature with clever detailing to reinforce the streamlined and slender aesthetic, while aligning with the dark and moody interior palette.

The Concept

The design of the contemporary wall light is defined by the cylindrical form of its dual luminaire composition and ribbon-inspired interconnecting strip.

The top and bottom of each baton features an LED light source housed in a frosted acrylic diffuser to create a warm atmospheric glow. The diffusers have contrasting depths and each tip is finished with a precision cut bevelled edge for a striking effect. Both batons and the “ribbon” are crafted from brushed brass to complement the interior palette.

The symmetry of having a wall light either side of the bathroom mirror is juxtaposed with the asymmetrical design of the luminaire to create a sleek yet stylish statement.
