Product Design Manager Role & Business Development Manager Role

PRODUCT DESIGN MANAGER 

We are looking for an exceptionally talented Product Design Manager to join our team in London. You will be highly creative, a good engineer and an inspiring leader – working collaboratively with the Product Designers and Business Development Manager to create beautiful lighting products.

Based in our London studio, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the design, construction and installation of each luminaire, ensuring they are on time and on budget without compromising on quality.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience in a similar role within the lighting design industry.
  • Proven experience of designing high-end, luxury products – from initial concept through to manufacture, quality control, installation and after care.
  • Proven project management experience, delivering multiple projects simultaneously, whilst ensuring they are on time, within budget and of the highest quality.
  • Extensive knowledge of materials and manufacturing and engineering processes.
  • Ability to build, manage and maintain excellent client relationships.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.

BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT MANAGER 

We are looking for an experienced business development manager to join our team in London.

The ideal candidate will have excellent sales skills, strong client relationship experience and the ability to manage new business. You will be tenacious, self-driven and able to work autonomously; be professional, and a strong and confident communicator. Knowledge of the luxury interior design market and business development are a must. The following provides a list of duties associated with the role.

The BDM is expected to:

  • Develop new business enquiries with interior designers, architects, developers and end-users, representing the practice in presentations and meetings.
  • Provide an initial point of contact for clients and to proactively solicit new clients via cold calling, networking events, LinkedIn and email.
  • Identify and attend networking opportunities, particularly those where interior designers and architects will be present. It is likely that such events will be held in the evenings or out of hours.
  • Understand the USPs, design process and aspirations of the business and to articulate them to the client team.
  • Prepare client presentations.
  • Attend monthly management meetings and prepare reports detailing sales forecasts, pipelines and tenders.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen.
  • Manage and regularly update customer relationship software and ensure the growth of the client base.
  • Assist with the content of all marketing materials including e-shots, brochures, press releases, etc.
  • Liaise with the team and founder at all times.
  • Manage their time efficiently.
