Petal Cluster Chandelier
A sculptural cascade of handmade floral forms.
The Brief

Set within a vineyard overlooking Vienna, this luxury family home required a bespoke chandelier to anchor the dining area and add delicacy and fluidity to the space.

Drawing on the organic motifs of the surrounding landscape, the piece was conceived to sit naturally within the elegantly layered interior: a sophisticated scheme defined by earthy tones, tactile materials and an abundance of natural light.

Working closely with the interior designer, we developed and crafted a feature piece that frames the dining table through a considered arrangement of curved floral forms and fine petals.

The Design

Taking the sculptural form of the calla lily as our starting point, we designed a custom chandelier that cascades above the dining table. Its flowing composition features multiple handblown flowers, mounted to a satin-brushed brass frame and interspersed with smaller metal petals to create a subtle counterpoint.

The calla lily’s distinctive, unfurling form is captured in the fluid profiles of the glass flowers. Each component is handblown by traditional artisans to create smooth, softly rounded forms in contrasting smoky and speckled finishes.

A diffuse light source is concealed in each glass flower and fitted with a flat-cut metal baffle to minimise glare and maintain the clarity of the forms. The flowers are arranged in a balanced cluster, with subtle variations in position and orientation giving the piece a sense of natural irregularity.

Designed to make a strong statement by day, the chandelier takes on a more atmospheric quality after dark, as light softens and defines the sculptural forms, transforming the character of the piece entirely.
